It's finally here and it's beautiful! I'm very excited to announce that the Jacqueline film clip has been completed. Thanks to everyone that was involved with putting this clip together. A very special thanks goes out to Tim Blackburn who directed the clip. Click here to have a look at it for yourself. Let me know what you think!

Good news everyone. It has been announced that I am one of 3 finalists in the "Adult Contemporary" section of the New Artist to Radio Competition (NA2R). This thing is a huge deal and I'm very excited. Past winners such as Sarah Blasko, Faker, Sun Pilots, Cassie Davis and Jade McRae have gained a huge boost from being finalists so that's comforting. I get to head down to Sydney towards the end of this month to attend a workshop/conference that covers all things radio. Woohoo! My song "Jacqueline" was the song they chose. I think people must like that one a bit...

*The Hear & Say Centre's Butterfly Appeal is on again during April. It's a brilliant cause that helps to teach profoundly deaf children to listen & speak. They are AMAZING. I visited the organisation last year and was astounded with how well these kids learn to hear & speak. This year, with the help of Itunes my song "Hush" is going to be available for download. The song was written especially for the charity and all proceeds for the month of April are going to the Butterfly Appeal. So please HEAD TO ITUNES IN APRIL and give a little $1.69 to help the charity do more great work. Look out for an article in the City News next week!

*FLIPSIDE CIRCUS is holding their annual Fundraising Event on Saturday the 29th of March. I'm performing at the concert. It shall be a night filled with acrobats, jugglers & all amounts of crazy circus behaviour...and me. There will be food and drinks provided also.

Brianna Carpenter will be donning a pair of butterfly wings next month as part of her contribution to the Queensland Hear and Say Centre’s major fundraising event the Butterfly Appeal which runs throughout April. The charity’s mission of assisting children with hearing impairments and their families hits close to home for Australian Idol star Brianna, who was diagnosed with deafness in one ear at the age of six.
The Butterfly Appeal, which is proudly sponsored by Suncorp, commences with a launch at Queen St Mall on Monday, March 31 and continues through April. By supporting the Appeal, you will be giving a child the best chance to learn to listen and speak to their full potential.
Brianna will demonstrate her singing prowess when she performs for the crowd at the Butterfly Appeal Launch, proving that despite a hearing impairment she was able to achieve her goal of becoming a talented and popular musician.
Recent research revealed a baby born with hearing loss will suffer a 20 week set-back of speech and language development even if their impairment is diagnosed at birth and early intervention commenced immediately.
Branded a ‘neurological emergency’, it goes on to prove that early detection and intense stimulation and exposure to spoken language will give your child the best chance to learn to listen and speak to their full potential.
In Brianna’s case, her mother was constantly providing the necessary stimulation. “My mother was always playing music or singing around the house. She always tells me how she would crank the music up on her Elton John or Billy Joel records when I was in the womb,” Brianna recalled.
“On top of that she was very creative and artistic, so I was always lucky to have that stimulation while growing up.”
Hear and Say Centre managing director and founder Dimity Dornan said hearing loss was the most commonly diagnosed disability in newborns, but society had the power to decimate the very significant impact of hearing loss in newborns world-wide.
“Through the combination of newborn hearing screening, modern hearing technology like digital hearing aids and cochlear implants, and specialised Auditory-Verbal education techniques, we can teach children to communicate with clear, natural speech and language,” Ms Dornan said.
The Hear and Say Centre’s role is to teach children with hearing loss to listen and speak in the normal range for their age by the time they are ready to start school and to support their families through the process, with each place in its program costing the Centre an average $10,000 per year for each child.

Major Butterfly Appeal sponsor Suncorp CEO John Mulcahy said the success of previous campaigns had funded 53 places at the Hear and Say Centres across Brisbane and Queensland.

I'm working with a very talent producer named Brendan Anthony & there are some very exciting musicians coming onboard to help make the CD spectacular!!

I will be making a "documentary" type thing on the recording of my album as well so you guys will all have the opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes. I'm very excited about the whole thing. It's going to sound hottie hot pants!

The album should be finished around the end of March & then I'll do a big tour!

I'll keep you all updated regularly. Have a SPLENDID day.

Love and Hugs!

Good evening everyone
And what a fine evening it is. It's not so hot thank goodness. These last few weeks have been like "MAN! Why is it so freakin hot! It's not even supposed to be SUMMER yet". I'm a grumpy pants in the summer. Tonight it's more like Spring however, so that's fabulous.

Anywho - I'd just thought I'd let you all know how to purchase my music. I've been getting lots of people asking how...so here are the answers.

a) Jump onto ITunes & search for "Brianna Carpenter". There are currently 4 songs available for download/purchase on there. 99c. Cheap as chips!

b) Go to www.cdbaby.com/briannacarpenter2 & you can purchase my debut EP "Spotted" from there. Again, only 4 tracks & Jacqueline isn't one of them, but all in good time my pretties. I produced & engineered the EP myself & it sounds HOTTY hot pants (that means good in Brianna language) Costs you $13 through this option.

c) If you don't like either of those options, send me a myspace message with your address & I shall post the EP out to you MYSELF & I'll even SIGN the cover! Wooo. That'll cost you something like 11 bucks. Cheap Cheap Cheap!

Okay, that's it from me!

Night Night Lovelies!
